Butterfly Baby Quilt
I made this baby quilt in June 2010 as a gift for my grand kids half sister that was born June 5th . It was a little late but got it done. It is the first small quilt I have ever quilted myself on my Singer Featherweight. I used blue painter's tape to mark the lines to quilt and that made it go a lot easier. The butterflies are on the back and they have some sparkle to them!! The batting is 100% cotton Warm and Natural that I think washes up really nice and will make it really snugly!!

Milk Can and Flowers
Here is one of my milk cans sitting in the front yard with a Confetti Plant that did have some yellow with the red and purple flowers. I have Zinnias planted in the washtub. The taller Zinnias are planted in a whiskey barrel and were a little too tall when all was said and done this summer. Next year I will read the seed packages and know that when they say giant they did not mean the bloom they meant the height of the plant!! I also love the Bostons Ferns and try to have 2 or three out every year. I think it is somewhat soothing to watch the breeze blow through the ferns.

Braided Border
This is a quilt from 07 that I worked on in a brown bag swap. I was the last person to get this bag with this quilt in it and I decided to put a braid border around it. I liked how the braid border finished and pulls it all together. They do take time and you have to pay close attention when you add each strip or you will be spending time with the seam ripper.
In this photo you see two other likes in my life......old milk cans and my hens and chicks cactus plants. I suppose I love old milk cans as they bring back good memories of when I was a kid.
